Where can the ceremony take place?

From romantic gardens and charming estates to picturesque spots by the sea and in the heart of Kashubia. Any of these places can become the setting for your wedding.

We bring church tradition and the spiritual meaning of the sacrament together with the beauty of the outdoors, giving the ceremony a character of its own in the place you choose.

The priest leading the marriage ceremony outdoors

Who marries you?

The ceremony is led by a priest of the Polish Catholic Church (Kościół Polskokatolicki), a Church of its own, separate from the Roman Catholic Church. It is a sacramental wedding, with Holy Mass, marriage vows, the exchange of rings, prayer and a blessing.

The marriage is also valid under civil law, so there is no need for a separate civil wedding.

At our first meeting we will gladly walk you through the ceremony and answer any questions you have.

Memories and reviews from our couples

Translated from Polish.

“We would like to thank you most warmly for a wonderful, beautiful ceremony. Father Artur did a brilliant job, and all our guests and we ourselves were delighted with the atmosphere, the homily and the whole ceremony. It was better than we had imagined. Huge thanks and best wishes.”
Michał and Paulina
“Thank you so much for the ceremony, it was great and just as we had dreamed. Our guests were delighted and said they had never been to such a wonderful wedding! Thank you again.”
Monika and Kacper
“Thank you for your dedication and for making our dreams come true, so that this day was just as we had dreamed. The homily was beautiful and moving, taking us back to those years and the decisions that led us to the altar. Our guests were very moved too, and got to know our story. Everyone said it was the first time they had been to such a personal ceremony. We are very grateful and happy on our new path. As soon as we are back from our trip, we would like to visit Father and thank him in person. Thanks also to the assistants, who gave us so much support as well. Thank you.”
Zuzanna and Kamil
“Thank you for a beautiful ceremony. All our guests loved it and kept asking where we had found such a “normal” priest :) Thank you and see you soon!”
Klaudia and Paweł
“THANK YOU so, so much for organising this beautiful ceremony on such an important day.”
Agata and Michał

Questions about outdoor church weddings

Can you have a church wedding outdoors?

Yes. In the Polish Catholic Church an outdoor wedding is possible, with the full sacramental rite. In the Roman Catholic Church a wedding outside a church needs the bishop’s permission (canon 1118 of the Code of Canon Law), and in Poland this is rare.

Who marries you?

The ceremony is led by a priest of the Polish Catholic Church, who gives it a solemn and spiritual character. The vows, the exchange of rings and the blessing, accompanied by Holy Mass, make a special setting for this important moment.

Is the wedding legally valid? Is it a concordat wedding?

Yes, the ceremony is recognised by Polish law, so there is no need for a separate wedding at the registry office. Although the term “concordat wedding” refers to marriages in the Roman Catholic Church, the Polish Catholic Church follows the same procedure. Before the ceremony the couple get a certificate from the registry office, and after it the priest sends the required documents to the office so that the marriage is registered.
